DC Arts Center Wall Mountables 2013

Their annual open Wall Mountables show attracts a wide range of participants and is a great opportunity to find smaller and more affordable works for sale, connect with creative folks of all stripes in DC, and enjoy art.  The opening reception is a great party, and will be held this Friday at DCAC’s Adams Morgan space: Continue reading

Philosophical or even satirical, Power Art may address civil liberties, human rights, or environmental issues. It makes the viewer stop and think about a viewpoint. Area artists were encouraged to be experimental, with no restrictions on materials. Some of the juried artworks depict emotional, physical, natural and spiritual power; others represent the power of craftsmanship, fabric, and recycled materials.” Continue reading
