Five paintings will be featured in the inaugural show of FLEX, a series of temporary exhibitions, which will occur for one night on Saturday April 27th from 7-10pm:

Works on display will include Home Grown, Emerge, The Gift, Dive In! and new work to be unveiled at the event. FLEX will be housed in several spaces in and around the Flats at Atlas and will include sculpture, painting, performance, and video works by a diverse group of local artists. Intentionally enigmatic, the works presented are aligned by their persistent questioning of the viewers’ assumptions:

The majority of the works will be displayed in over 3000 square feet of unfinished storefront space, while videos projections and kinetic sculpture will be displayed outdoors, and performances will take place in the Atlas Flats lobby/basketball court throughout the evening. The launch of FLEX promises to be an energetic mind-meld of local artists and curators working outside of a specific gallery structure, which will continue to morph into new forms and inhabit new spaces in the future.
