More Than a Muse addresses the prominent role and importance of women and feminism in the ecological health of local art, and interrogates the blatant exclusion of female artists and feminist art in every tier of the art world today. Throughout art history, women have long been overlooked as creators, innovators, instigators, and major players in the world of art. More than an inspiration, more than an afterthought, more than here for your viewing pleasure, and More Than a Muse, women are a powerful and integral force in and for art.

Epicure Café, located at 11104 Lee Highway in Fairfax, VA, is open 7 days a week from 5 – midnight. More Than a Muse will be on view at Epicure Café from December 19, 2015 through February 20, 2016.
